FORCE (Formasi Internal Competition) is our annual event which included in our Grand Open Recruitment program. It created to stimulate the competitiveness among Rookies (Formasi New Member) since our goal is to achieve as much as achievement. FORCE consist of 4 English Competition:
- English Debate
- Newscast
- Story Telling
- Speech
And all of those competition will be held at B Building, Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University. Registration of every competition will be start at 7a.m. sharp! So please don’t be late.

2. Newscast
Preliminary round (News Anchor):
You have to deliver your own prepared news. Here, you’ll be the news anchor reporting 2 news. Make sure you prepare your best news for this round. Duration will be 5 minutes.
Semi-final round (Live Report):
Want to be the best news anchor? Try this live experience by reporting directly from the field. You’ll be given a certain theme and you have to report it directly to the audience by your own style. Make sure you pack your news nice and interesting. Your skills, performances, and your quality of news will be judged in this round. Preparation time 10 minutes, performing time will be 5 minutes.
Grand Final Round:
Here the participants are given a short video and then they all have to make their own news. Your skills, performances, and your quality of news will be judged in this round. Preparation time 7 minutes, performing time will be 3 minutes.
Scoring Criteria:
- Manner (Appearance, Articulation, & Eye Contact)
- Matter (Content)
- Method (Pronounciation and fluency & mimic)
*appearance for newscast should be formal,other than formal your score will be reduced
3. Story Telling
Preliminary Round:
In this round, participant should tell a prepared story. The themes are fabel, folklore, and fairy tale. (duration; max 7-8 minutes)
Semi-Final Round:
In this round, participant should deliver their stories and their turn will be decided based on lottery which will be given by committee in breaking announcement. (duration; max 10-12 minutes)

Grand Final Round:
In this round, participant should deliver their stories and the theme of story will be decided based on lottery which will be given by commiitee in breaking announcement. Participant only have 1/2 hour to prepare their performances.(duration; max 10 minutes)

Duration of performance in every round:
Preliminary round : 7 minutes time performance
Semi final round : 10 minutes time performance
Grand final round : 10 minutes time performance
Preparation for grand final round 30 minutes
Scoring Criteria:
1. Performance 50 %
Self presentation, Confidence, Attire and neatness (appearance), Expression and eye contact, Properties, Interest.
2. Material 30 %
Material control (Content), Intonation, Articulation, Tempo, Timing.
3. Ability in English 20 %
Grammar , Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Fluency
Timing:
A yellow flag will be displayed at the 4th minutes of the performance
A green flag will be displayed at the 6th minutes of the performance.
A red flag will be displayed at the 7th minutes of the performance. That sign means that the limit times is over
Important Notice:
Story choosen by each participants in preliminary round. Each participant will be given 7-8minutes (for preliminary round) and 10-12 minutes (for semifinal and grand final round) to serve the story.(include opening and closing) less than or more than fixedtime, your point will be -10. Every participants could bring propertiesto get (+) point.
4. Speech
Regulations:
- PARTICIPANTS OF SPEECH COMPETITIONS ARE THOSE WHO ALREADY APPLY FOR FORCE 7TH WHETHER ONLINE OR ON THE SPOT.
- PARTICIPANTS SHOULD COME TO THE STAGE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMPETITION STARTED
- PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FOR UNATTENDANCE
- THE TIMING WILL BE 5 TO 7 MINUTES AT ALL ROUND
- PARTICIPANTS WILL BE INVITED TO DELIVER THEIR SPEECH BY THE CHAIRMAN, IF AFTER THE 3RD INVITATION DIDN’T PROCEED, THEN THEY WILL REGARDED AS DISQUALIFIED
- PARTICIPANTS WHO DELIVER THEIR SPEECH IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES OR MORE THAN 7 MINUTES WILL GAIN REDUCE OF SCORE
