FORMASI UB never stop their effort to proliferate the spirit of the debate and also to gain more achievement in National Scale Competition. On April 11th & 12th we send our delegation to compete in The First National Maritime Debate (NMD) that being held in Tanjung Priuk Jakarta. Using Asian Parliamentary Style, we send 2 teams to NMD, UB A consist of (Nadya Ayuning Wuryanto, Zelly Sidi Zamzami, and Leiditya Naristi) and UB B consist of (M. Afdhal Anugrah, Haris Apriyanto, and Billal Andre Agassi). Both team success gain full VP’s and become Quarter Finalist in that competition. Unfortunately we face civil war in quarter final, UB A need to face UB B, and as the result UB B become the team that proceed into Semi Final. In semi final, we met UI A and we lose. UB B became 3rd runner up in The First National Maritime Debate Contest, even though we didn’t win, but we really proud of this achievement, and we believe we can do better next year.
Another news comes from National University Debate Championship, UB have done internal selection to search for the best delegates to represent UB in NUDC 2015. The result of internal selection, we have Faculty of Engineering as The Winner, Faculty of Medicine as the 1st Runner Up, Faculty of Economy and Business as the 2nd Runner Up, and last but not least Faculty of Political Science as the 3rd Runner Up. We already make a program to train our delegates. Let’s hope for the best result in NUDC 2015.
